Gamescom 2026 felt different.
The halls were busier, the industry seemed more energised, and the sheer number of new titles being announced created a genuinely positive and forward-looking atmosphere.
For the Universally Speaking team, it was a packed few days of reconnecting with long-standing partners, meeting new faces and discussing what comes next for localisation, QA and player support. Automation and smarter, more streamlined workflows were recurring themes across many of our conversations, alongside the need for flexible global delivery and scalable teams.
As always, the most valuable part of Gamescom was the people. Thank you to everyone who found time to meet us, whether inside the show, at the UKIE booth or somewhere in the increasingly busy Gamescom ecosystem around Cologne.
We returned home tired, inspired and with plenty of exciting conversations to continue.
