Join a team where quality, collaboration, and a passion for games come first. Behind the Screens
We’re proud to be by the industry, for the industry. With veterans from Activision, Sony, Sega, and many other household names under our roof, our team brings together decades of hands-on experience in understanding what truly makes games great. That collective knowledge doesn’t just shape the work we do every day; it also drives our commitment to giving back to the industry that’s given us so much. Through organisations like Special Effect and Liverpool Gamechangers, we’re on a mission to share that experience for the better. We actively support initiatives that help people take their first steps into the games industry, whether that’s through mentorship, education, accessibility advocacy, or opening doors to opportunities that might otherwise feel out of reach. At the same time, we’re committed to contributing positively to the wider gaming industry, championing inclusive practices and supporting good causes we can all stand behind. So when you see the US logo at a gaming conference near you, don’t be a stranger. Come and say hi. We’re always happy to talk games, share stories from the industry, and connect with the people who make this community such an exciting place to be.

Their journeys are a testament to the supportive, hands-on foundation we strive to provide.
The fundamentals you learn at Universally Speaking, such as clear communication, attention to detail, teamwork, and critical thinking are not only essential within the games industry, but also highly transferable beyond it. We’re especially proud that so many of our former team members continue to reach back to us for future collaboration on exciting new titles, strengthening long-lasting professional relationships. What Makes a Great Teammate
A great teammate is someone who shares responsibility for quality and takes pride in the success of the whole team. In gaming QA and localisation, this means clear communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to support others. Whether that’s sharing what you've learned, flagging issues early, or stepping in to help meet deadlines in unexpected ways. Great teammates are proactive, reliable, and open to feedback, understanding that collaboration is essential when testing complex systems or adapting content for multiple languages.
Just as important is a strong sense of professionalism and teamwork. While every team member is unique, we all share the same need for dignity, respect, and inclusion. In a fast-paced environment, this attitude helps teams stay aligned, work efficiently, and maintain high standards under pressure. By fostering trust, accountability, and a shared passion for games, great teammates help build stronger teams, and then deliver better experiences for players worldwide.

Diversity Builds Better Games
Diverse teams bring broader perspectives, and in games that diversity translates directly into better player experiences. When people from different cultures, backgrounds, and lived experiences collaborate, they approach design, testing, and storytelling from multiple angles. This helps uncover sensitivity blind spots, identify unintended barriers, and ensure mechanics, narratives, and interfaces feel intuitive and engaging for a truly global player base.
In QA and localisation, diversity is especially powerful. A varied team can spot cultural nuances, language subtleties, and player expectations that might otherwise be missed, leading to more accurate testing and more meaningful localisation. By embracing different viewpoints, teams challenge assumptions, strengthen decision-making, and deliver richer, more inclusive worlds, making games that don’t just work across regions, but truly resonate with the players who explore them.
